The AJA Ki Pro Mini is a compact, lightweight field recorder designed to bridge production and post by capturing edit-ready Apple ProRes 422 QuickTime files directly to Compact Flash media, eliminating log and capture entirely from the workflow.

Apple ProRes 422 Hardware Recording to CF Cards

The Ki Pro Mini records 10-bit full-raster files to all four Apple ProRes 422 codec variants including ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, ProRes 422 LT, and ProRes 422 Proxy in SD and HD formats. Files are written directly to industry-standard Compact Flash cards formatted as HFS+ volumes, which mount instantly on any Mac via a standard CF card reader with no importing or transcoding required.

Dual CF Card Slots

Two onboard CF card slots allow for extended recording capacity or redundant backup capture, and cards can be swapped in the field while the other slot continues recording, keeping production rolling without interruption.

SD/HD-SDI and HDMI I/O

The Ki Pro Mini accepts HD and SD video from virtually any SDI or HDMI-equipped camera or production device, with SD/HD-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs covering all broadcast and prosumer sources regardless of format.

Balanced Audio and Embedded Digital Audio

Two channels of balanced XLR audio input with switchable line/mic levels provide a clean analog audio path directly from a camera or mixer, while 8 channels of embedded digital audio are also supported over both SDI and HDMI for multichannel production workflows.

Flexible Control and Mounting

The AJA Ki Pro Mini is operated via familiar VTR-style front panel buttons with a 3-line character LCD display, and can also be controlled remotely via Ethernet or built-in Wi-Fi from a laptop, iPhone, or any web browser. Optional mounting plates attach to hot shoes, battery plates, and other camera accessory brackets for on-camera use.
