Clear-Com Freespeak II

The Clear-Com Freespeak II is a DECT 1.9 GHz wireless intercom system offering up to four full-duplex channels per beltpack, 500-meter open-air coverage via PoE antennas, and up to 8 hours of battery life with hot-swap capability. It integrates natively with Clear-Com matrix systems for scalable intercom across broadcast and live event productions.

DECT wireless technology

The Freespeak II operates on the 1.9 GHz DECT frequency band, which is dedicated to digital communications and provides interference-free performance. This keeps audio clear and consistent even in dense RF environments like live events or broadcast facilities.

Full-duplex, multichannel intercom

Each beltpack supports up to four simultaneous full-duplex intercom channels, allowing users to communicate freely across multiple talk groups without pressing to talk. The system integrates natively with Clear-Com’s Eclipse HX and E-IFB matrix systems for scalable, party-line or point-to-point communication.

Range and coverage

Freespeak II transceiver antennas provide coverage up to 500 meters in open-air environments, with multiple antennas deployable to extend and overlap coverage zones. A PoE-powered antenna design allows for flexible placement without dedicated power runs, simplifying installation in complex venues.

Beltpack battery and design

The FBP-500 beltpack offers up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, with a hot-swap battery option that allows continuous operation during battery changes. The beltpack is lightweight and rugged, built for the physical demands of live production environments.
