The DIS CM-4450P is a portable, microcomputer-controlled chairman conference unit featuring an 18″ flexible gooseneck microphone arm, a built-in loudspeaker, and full compatibility with the CDS 4000, 4100, and 4200 series of conference systems.

Flexible Gooseneck Arm with Illuminated Microphone Head

The CM-4450P features a 50cm (approximately 18″) flexible gooseneck arm topped with a double rubber-suspended, low noise electret microphone capsule. An illuminated red ring on the microphone head clearly identifies the active speaker, remaining visible even under bright broadcast lighting conditions.

Built-In Loudspeaker

A built-in 3″ high-quality speaker allows the chairman to hear other participants directly from the unit. The speaker automatically switches off the moment the chairman’s microphone is activated, preventing feedback and keeping audio clean throughout the session.

Chairman Priority Controls

The CM-4450P includes a microphone on/off push button with chairman priority, allowing the chairman to override all active delegate microphones at any time. A dedicated “Delegate OFF” button mutes or switches off all active delegate units simultaneously, with a status LED confirming when all delegates are off. A “Speak” LED indicates when the chairman microphone is live.

Single Cable Daisy Chain

The unit connects to the conference system via a single cable daisy chain, simplifying installation and reducing cable clutter at the conference table. Automatic ID assignment activates when the system is powered on, eliminating the need for manual configuration of each unit.

CDS 4000 Series Compatibility

The CM-4450P is fully compatible with the entire CDS 4000, 4100, and 4200 series of DIS conference units and conforms to all relevant standards for conference electronics.
