Video Inputs and Scalers
The Roland V-160HD features 8 3G-SDI inputs with frame rate converters and 8 HDMI inputs, four of which include real-time scalers that handle sources of varying resolutions and color spaces without external conversion. All inputs support up to 1080p60, accommodating cameras, computers, tablets, and legacy devices side by side.
Seven Assignable Outputs
Seven outputs span SDI, HDMI, and USB-C, configurable as program, sub-program, aux, preview, and multi-view simultaneously. The USB-C output appears as a standard webcam device on a connected computer, making it directly compatible with Zoom, Teams, YouTube, and other streaming platforms without additional hardware.
8-Layer Video Effects Engine
The built-in effects engine supports 8 composition layers, 4 picture-in-picture windows, downstream keyers, and a 16-slot still store for uploaded BMP, JPEG, and PNG images. Effects processing happens entirely in hardware, keeping latency off the table for live audience displays.
40-Channel Audio Mixing
The Roland V-160HD includes a 40-channel digital audio mixer with EQ, dynamics processing, and effects on every channel, along with XLR inputs with phantom power and embedded audio from all HDMI and SDI inputs. Auto Mixing manages microphone levels automatically during multi-speaker events.
PTZ Camera Control and Automation
The Roland V-160HD controls up to 16 PTZ cameras simultaneously across Canon, JVC, Panasonic, Sony, PTZOptics, Avonic, and VISCA-compatible models, with mixed protocols running at once. Live production automation includes sequencing, macros, and preset memories, with remote control software available for iPad, macOS, and Windows, plus wired and wireless tally support.
