The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI Extreme ISO features 8 3G-SDI inputs with standards conversion, frame rate conversion, and re-sync on every input, supporting all HD formats up to 1080p60. Four 3G-SDI outputs can be configured for program, individual camera feeds, or multiview, with up to 16 custom multiview window layouts available.

9-Stream ISO Recording and DaVinci Resolve Integration

The ISO label means the unit records all 8 SDI inputs as individual H.264 MP4 files at up to 70Mb/s alongside the program output simultaneously, all via USB-C. The switcher automatically generates a DaVinci Resolve project file with synced timecode and camera metadata, making post-event editing and cleanup fast and straightforward.

Keyers, DVE, and Effects

The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI Extreme ISO supports up to 9 layers of composition with 4 upstream and 2 downstream keyers, up to 4 chroma keyers, up to 4 linear keyers, 2 DVEs with borders and drop shadow, 5 pattern generators, and 2 color generators, giving operators significant creative flexibility during live productions.

Fairlight Audio Mixer

The built-in Fairlight audio mixer handles all SDI embedded audio sources plus 2 stereo analog mic inputs, with 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, limiter, expander, and noise gate on every channel. Audio levels can be adjusted from the front panel, ATEM Software Control, or a compatible hardware panel.

Live Streaming and Control

The Blackmagic Design ATEM SDI Extreme ISO streams directly via RTMP over Ethernet to platforms like YouTube, Facebook Live, Twitch, and Zoom, or outputs as a webcam over USB-C. Control is available via the integrated front panel, free ATEM Software Control for Mac and Windows, or optional ATEM Advanced hardware panels.
